Kamila Hawthorne

Professor Kamila Hawthorn is general practitioner in the south Wales valley, former Vice Chair for Professional Development of the Royal College of GPs, and a Bevan Commissioner. She has extensive experience of establishing multi-disciplinary community based teams working with BME communities. Kamila is also an academic educator, and has been involved in the development of Community Based Learning at the Universities of Cardiff and Surrey. She is the Primary Care representative on the Board of the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management and the Council of the Academy of Medical Education.
