The programme is updated on a weekly basis to include new content and expert speakers.
From career coaching guides to discussions around the challenges in India and its healthcare infrastructure - as well as thoughts and opinions of medical leaders at every level throughout healthcare. Here is a taster of some of the varied sessions on offer at the conference:
The Big GP Consultation with Dr Sarah Schofield
The future of General Practice through the eyes of the next generation.
“What does a positive vision for the future of general practice look like? And what steps can we take to get there?”
These are exactly the questions that The Big GP Consultation (http://thebiggpconsultation.co.uk/) asked the next generation of the GP workforce – GP trainees and early career GPs around the UK. In a series of five consultations that engaged more than 100 doctors, this work uncovered an insight into the challenges faced by General Practice, as well as actionable ideas to take forward to a positive future. These covered the breadth of what General Practice offers, including the clinical role of the GP, how best to recruit, develop and retain those in the profession, and the responsibility we have towards society and the environment.
The BMJ Leader session with James Mountford, Dr Christine Blanshard and Dr Aoife Molloy
Exploring questions and challenges presented by fake news in the media and social media, including:
- How can healthcare leaders manage public opinion when influenced by possible fake news?
- What role does the media have in engaging fake news?
- What role can social media play in offsetting fake news and examples where it is done well?
