Kate is a longstanding advocate for the value that clinical leaders bring to people within healthcare. Kate's clinical background is in obstetrics and she began her clinical leadership career in large acute teaching hospitals before taking leadership roles with NHSI and NHSE.
Working with the southeast regional team of NHSE during the pandemic really brought home the power of collaboration between providers and sectors to deliver beneficial change and motivated Kate to seek an ICB role. Kate sees the creation of Integrated Care Boards as a once in a generation platform for transformation of health and social care.
