Emma Knowles

Emma has worked for the HFMA since January 2013 and is responsible for the association’s policy, technical, research and communication activities. Prior to this Emma worked for the Audit Commission for 13 years. She was responsible for the Commission’s national health studies and providing advice and guidance to auditors on financial management and governance issues.

Before joining the Commission Emma worked for the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy. Emma trained as an accountant while working in the NHS.
Emma is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
