FMLM International Conference 2022
International Healthcare Leadership Conference 2022
Online | 9-10 November

A session exploring leadership in patient experience.

Our experts speak about approaches of new thinking or frameworks around co production and greater engagement of patients in their healthcare journey. They will share examples of applications of this framework and how you can apply it within your working team.

In this workshop our speakers will be sharing information and setting the scene emerging from the recent Systematic Review findings and the Gordon Messenger Review.

Join us in exploring collaborative government and necessary conditions for collaboration, together looking at roles and behaviours of dynamic and effective leadership adopted from research on health care boards.

Dave Snowden is the creator of the Cynefin Framework, and also originated the design of SenseMaker® the world's first distributed ethnography tool. He is the lead author of Managing complexity (and chaos) in times of crisis: A field guide for decision makers a shared effort between the Joint Research Centre (JRC), the European Commission’s science and knowledge service, and the Cynefin Centre which was published in 2021.

Healthcare leaders from across the world will share their views on the challenges and opportunities facing primary care.
The panel will explore similarities and differences across countries, consider the global implications, and discuss the role of medical and healthcare leadership in realising better care for patients and populations.

During the Covid-19 Pandemic, General Practice had to adapt quickly to new ways of working. Practice doors were closed, and virtual consultations became the norm. To the public, this created a perception that general practice itself was closed. Perpetuated by politicians and media, this perception has, for some patients, damaged the important doctor patient relationship. So, how can public and patient confidence be regained? Our expert panel will put across arguments for both sides of the debate which will be adjudicated by a panel of patient representatives.

In this final session, Dr Rachel Morris, GP, Coach and Specialist in Resilience at Work will host a live You Are Not A Frog Podcast recording all about failure. She’ll be joined by a panel of leaders, who will share their stories of how they all ‘failed’ at some point on their leadership journey.

In this session you'll hear from three healthcare leadership researchers on learnings from the COVID-19 pandemic:

Safety challenges in healthcare: lessons in resilience from Critical Care’s COVID-19  response
McKenzie Lloyd-Smith, PhD Fellow within the Faculty of Management at Bayes Business School (formerly Cass), City, University of London

The future of General Practice from the eyes of the next generation

“What does a positive vision for the future of general practice look like? And what steps can we take to get there?”

Reflections on day 1 and looking forward to the day 2 sessions.
